Always wanted to star in your own music video? Now's your chance. Shake your tail feathers, strut your stuff, and enter the Chicken Dance Video Contest!
Eligibility: The contest is open to people of all ages residing in the U.S.
Awards: Grand Prize: Original Art from Dan Santat
1st Place: $50 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble
2 runners up: $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble each
(Each winner will also receive an autographed copy of Chicken Dance.)
Deadline: All entries must be received electronically between 12:00am Eastern Time on August 1, 2009 and 11:59pm Eastern Time on October 31, 2009.
Rules: Please follow these contest rules for your entry to be considered.
1.Contest begins on August 1, 2009 at 12:00am Eastern Time.
2.Contestants are encouraged to use the Chicken Dance book in their video, but the entry must not contain copyrighted audio or video material.
3.Contestants are welcome to use the “Chicken Dance Song” by Robert Agis which is available for download at: http://elvispoultrybooks.com.
4.Creative Commons (CC) material is also allowed.
5.Entry must be between 1 – 3 minutes in length.
6.Entry must not contain foul language or slander.
7.Contest moderators reserve the right to remove any video entry they deem inappropriate.
8.Entry must be in English (if language is used).
9. Contestants must upload video entries to YouTube. Please tag your videos: Chicken Dance,
Tammi Sauer, Dan Santat
10.Contestants must e-mail elvispoultry@gmail.com with your YouTube username, first name, last name, address, e-mail, title of the video, and the video's YouTube URL (for example, www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ19ly) **All names, addresses and e-mails will be kept confidential. Once we have located your video on YouTube, we will add it to our favorites list at http://www.youtube.com/user/MrElvisPoultry.
Judging: Entries will be judged by author Tammi Sauer and illustrator Dan Santat. Winners will be announced on November 9, 2009.11. Be creative, have fun, and rock on!
